Tour Description:

We travel south for this tour with the route Bangalore – Mysore – Hassan – Hospet – Bangalore. This tour is for the celebration of Hampi Festival in Vijayanagar region of Karnataka. Hampi is the UNESCO World Heritage Site presenting elephants and horses in stunning outfits. Many artists come together to commemorate the old days of Vijayanagar till its present age. This takes place for 3 days.

We will visit various places like Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens and Bull Temple in Bangalore, Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills and Brindavan Gardens in Mysore, Belur Temple en-route Hassan and Shravanabelagola, a prominent Jain pilgrim centre in Hassan.

Itinerary

Day 01 / Arrival Bangalore

Meet and assist at the airport and transfer to hotel. Night stay in Bangalore.

Day 02 / Bangalore - Mysore ( By road ) Approx. 4hrs Drive

Morning city tour of Bangalore. Bangalore is known as the ""City of Gardens"". Popularly known as the ""Garden City"", Bangalore is situated, 3,000 feet above sea level and has bracing, pleasant climate. It is well known for its botanical garden and colourful markets. You will also visit Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens containing century-old trees, fountains, lotus pools, ornamental fences, and one of the largest collections of rare and exotic tropical plants in India. You will see Vidhana Soudha – It houses the State’s Legislature and Secretariat, Nandi Temple - One of Oldest temple, popularly known as the Bull temple, etc. Later proceed by surface Mysore. enroute visiting Srirangapatna - capital of warrior – King Hyder Ali & his son Tipu Sultan, has magnificent monuments that are well worth a visit. Later, drive to Mysore on Arrival Check into Hotel Overnight at Mysore.

Day 03 / Mysore

Morning after breakfast, visit Mysore Palace: Once the residence of the Wodeyars, Built in 1912 in the Indo – Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. The Golden royal Elephant, the Durbar hall. Visit the places you must have been longing to visit: Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery – Housed in the Jag Mohan Palace, this gallery has a collection of exquisite paintings dating back to 1875. St. Philomena's Church – Built in the Gothic style, one of the largest churches of the country. Chamundi Hills – right on the top of the hill. Evening Visit the Brindavan Gardens – Witness the exuberant beauty of Brindavan Gardens. Night stay in Mysore.

Day 04 / Mysore – Hassan (By road) Approx. 3 Hours Drive

Early Morning after breakfast, checkout and proceed to Hassan En-route visit Belur- On the banks of the Yagachi River is Belur, a star shaped temple with hand lathe-turned filigreed pillars and sculptures will take your breath away. It is the only Hoysalas temple still in active worship and Halebid - Just 17 km away from Belur is Halebid, the ancient capital of the Hoysalas. The temple, perched on a star shaped base amidst lawns, is a sculptural extravaganza. Also visit Shravanabelagola- A prominent Jain pilgrim centre in Hassan district. Evening free on own. Overnight in Hassan.

Day 05 / Hassan - Hospet ( By road ) Approx. 6 Hours & half Drive

Morning after breakfast Drive to Hospet .On Arrival, check into Hotel. The magnificent ruined city of Hampi, Karnataka once the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire (One of the greatest empires in the history of India), comes alive during the lively festival of dance and music, held in the first week of November. In Evening, witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi temples. Night stay in Hospet.

Day 06 / Hospet - Hampi - Hospet (Day excursion) Approx. 30 Minutes Drive

Morning explore the beautiful world of Hospet. The touristic importance of this lies in its proximity to Hampi, the site of the Medieval Vijaynagar Empire, (13 kms) is the most evocative of all the ruins in Karnataka. In Evening, witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi temples. Night stay in Hospet.

Day 07 / Hospet

After breakfast, day at leisure. Later, witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi . Night stay in Hospet.

Day 08 / Hospet – Bangalore (Approx. 6 & half hours Drive)

In Morning, check out from Hospet and drive to Bangalore to connect flight back home.
